Spray Tans

How do I prepare for a spray tan?
  • Shave/wax and exfoliate well but gently at least 24 hours before your spray tan to allow your pores time to close properly.
  • Wash your hair if need be (as best to avoid this straight after your tan).
  • Quick shower on the morning of your tan if you absolutely must, but please DON'T exfoliate on the morning of your tan.
  • DO NOT apply moisturiser, deodorant or perfume on the day of your tan as this can hinder the solution being absorbed into the skin.
  • Wear loose dark clothing and jandals to your appointment.
  • Bring an umbrella if it is raining as spray tan solution and raindrops aren't good friends.
  • Tie your hair up for your appointment. A hair net will be provided to protect your hair from the spray if needed.
  • We can provide you with a disposable g-string, or wear your own underwear (or nothing at all for no tan lines)!
What do I do after my spray tan?
  • Do not shower, swim, get wet or do physical activity which may cause perspiration during the recommended development time.
  • After recommended development time, take a QUICK shower in WARM water - don't use body wash or soap.
  • Residual bronzer will wash off and tan may appear lighter (but will continue to develop over the next few hours).
  • After showering, pat your skin dry rather than rubbing to avoid tan fading prematurely.
  • Do not apply moisturiser or body products until the day after your tan.
  • AVOID: long hot showers or baths, baby oil, spa pools, chlorinated pools.
How long will my tan last?

Your tan should last between seven and ten days. For some people, their tan only lasts three to five days. The reason for this could be hormonal (time of the month/menstrual cycle), due to medication they are taking, pregnancy or beauty products/lotion they use.

What can I do to prolong my tan?

To prolong your tan, we recommend you moisturise as much as possible (but at least twice a day) while you are tanned. We sell a 'tan extend' moisturiser to extend the life of your lovely tan!

How do I remove my spray tan?

To remove your spray tan, take a hot shower for about five minutes and then exfoliate well with an exfoliating mitt.

Teeth Whitening

What is the 'White Diet' and why is it important?

For the 24 hours following your whitening treatment, you will need to follow a white diet consuming things like chicken, fish, rice, bananas, water, white wine or bubbles. You will need to avoid bright coloured foods, beverages, cigarette smoking and coloured toothpaste. Your teeth are porous after the treatment and following the white diet will prevent early restaining from occuring.

What whitening results should I expect?

Everyone's teeth whiten differently so it is difficult to guarantee how white your teeth will go.

Most people will see an improvement of between 4-8 shades.

How long will my teeth whitening last?

Results can last anywhere between 6-12 months. Lifestyle choices such as drinking red wine, dark soda drinks, coffee, tea or smoking cigarettes will mean your whitening may not last as long and you may need to book in for more regular touch up appointments.

Will my teeth be sensitive after my treatment?

The teeth whitening system we use is designed to minimise tooth sensitivity.

If you do have sensitive teeth, we recommend brushing with Sensodyne toothpaste for the two weeks prior to your appointment and for the week following your appointment.

Following your treatment, we will also provide you with some Desensitising Gel to gently apply to any teeth where sensitivity occurs.

Can anyone get their teeth whitened?

Teeth whitening is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant, breastfeeding, under the age of 16 or has had a scale and polish by their Hygienist within the last 14 days.

Anyone with cavities, gum disease or concerns about their oral health should see their dentist prior
to booking an appointment.

Permanent Jewellery

What is peremanent jewellery?

Permanent jewellery is a bracelet, anklet or necklace which is welded on for a simple and elegant clasp-free finish.

What types of chain can I choose from?

We offer a range of 14k gold-filled and sterling silver chains (as well as dianty charms or connectors).

Both of these metals are extremely durable. Gold filled jewellery has almost 100x more gold than gold plated jewellery. Since the gold is mechanically bonded to the base rather than plated, it can’t rub off. It has the same qualities as solid gold jewellery at a fraction of the cost. Gold filled jewellery is also great for people who are allergic to metals, as the material will not cause an allergic reaction.

How long will it last and can I remove it?

As long as you take care of your dainty piece of jewellery it should last forever.
If however you need to or would like to remove it, simply cut the small connector ring with a pair of scissors or pliers. Ensure to keep the chain in a safe place so that you can have it put back on when it suits you.

What if it breaks?

If something happens in the first four weeks after you get your piece of jewellery , I will gladly reweld at no charge. Save your chain and use the Book Now button on our website or instagram page to schedule a 10 minute welding appointment.

After four weeks, I charge a nominal $30 rewelding fee.

Will it hurt?

It will NOT hurt. Welding is a fabrication process whereby two or more parts are fused together using heat. Smaller materials and metals with a low melting point (such as gold and sterling silver) will require less energy to weld. We use very small jump rings which allow us to use a very low energy micro-welder to complete the weld. Don't worry, you are in safe hands with us.

Can I wear it through airport security?

You most certainly can. Permanent bracelets should not set off the metal detector. In fact, it is recommended by the TSA to wear your valuable jewellery while travelling.
